We're happy you're considering singing with The NoteAbles.
We're a friendly group of women and men of all ages and we'd love for you to join us.
Singers who wish to join The NoteAbles are welcome to attend 1-2 rehearsals as a trial. This gives you a chance to meet us and see how we sing.
After this trial period, each singer meets with Chris Morris, our director, to sing something of their choosing for him. This “audition” is not meant to be stressful. Many new singers sing something easy, like Happy Birthday or Row Row Row Your Boat.
Our weekly rehearsals at the Federated Church of Orleans start at 1:15 and go to 2:45. We rehearse about 8-10 times in the fall, getting ready for our Holiday Concerts, and another 8-10 times in the spring, for our Spring Concerts.
We sing at nursing and assisted living facilities and for community organizations. Here's our recent spring concert schedule.
We gather for these concerts about a half-hour before the concert starts.
Concert dress is usually:
Women: all black, scarves (provided)
Men: white shirt, dark slacks, colorful ties
Concert details provided before each concert.
We maintain a list of members and prospective members. We do not post this list to the Internet out of security concerns.
At your first rehearsal, please introduce yourself to Elaine Shabazian, our Membership Coordinator, who will give you a form to fill out with your contact information,
